Homepace privacy policy

Effective: October 10, 2026

Homepace is a home-chores app for Android, developed by Hugo Jeller. This policy describes the production Android app. Homepace stores your chores locally and does not send them to the developer. Android backups and sharing you choose are described below.

What the app stores

Your chores, categories, schedules, completion history, progress, session information, and settings are saved in a database on your phone. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server that receives your chore data. The developer has no remote access to this database.

What the app does not do

How your data is protected

The database is stored in Homepace's private app storage, protected by Android's app access controls. Homepace does not add its own database encryption.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app shows a daily summary of your chores. These notifications are created on your phone. No notification service or server is involved. You can turn them off in the app's settings or in Android's system settings.

Sharing

When you tap share, Homepace creates a temporary image of your weekly recap and opens Android's share sheet. The image contains summary progress, not individual chore names. You choose the app or recipient that receives it. That app or recipient handles the shared image under its own privacy practices. Homepace does not share the image on its own.

Backups

Depending on your device and backup settings, Android may back up Homepace's data to your Google account or transfer it directly to another device. A backup may be restored when you reinstall Homepace or set up a new phone. Google and your device's backup services handle these copies under their own settings and terms. You can manage backups in Android and your Google account's backup settings. The developer has no access to these backups.

Keeping and deleting your data

Homepace keeps your local completion history and progress until you clear its app storage or uninstall it. Deleting a chore removes that chore, but keeps its past completion records so your progress and streaks remain.

To remove all local Homepace data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. This does not necessarily delete Android backups or images you have already shared. Manage or delete backups through your device and Google backup settings; an existing backup may restore your data on reinstall. Delete shared copies through the apps or recipients you chose.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
